Warm Bedtime Story Rooms

Children's bedrooms for Gothenburg apartments

Toy storage that clears the floor

Closed volumes, rotation shelves, under-bed drawers

Toys expand to fill every tile. In newer Gårda flats with bright but small bedrooms, closed cream cabinets along one wall and under-bed drawers restore walking space faster than another open cube shelf.

We plan rotation: a hallway cupboard shelf holds the resting set so the bedroom only shows what fits the week's calm. Labels help adults; pictograms help children who cannot yet read Swedish packaging.

Height for independence

Daily toys live between knee and shoulder height. Seasonal or fragile pieces go higher. Lids should be light enough for small hands; soft-close runners protect fingers and neighbouring sleepers.

Materials that quiet the evening tidy-up

Felt-lined drawers and wooden fronts dampen the clatter of bricks and cars. Glass doors look elegant and show chaos; we prefer opaque fronts in children's rooms unless the family truly enjoys visual inventory.

Rental-friendly systems

When drilling is limited, freestanding cabinets with anti-tip straps and tension poles for hanging organisers keep walls nearly intact. We mark every hole we do make on a plan for the deposit inspection.

Storage planning fees

Toy storage systems without new beds commonly run 12 000 to 32 000 SEK. A weekend styling day that only reorganises existing furniture can sit near 15 000 SEK when the layout is already sound.
